Above: my studio in the basement of Building 960 at the Headlands Center for the Arts, where I was an Affiliate Artist from 2001-2003. I sealed the windows with thick black plastic sheeting and used the light table on the floor at left to directly expose lengths of 16mm film to create Hojas de Maíz. At home I still work at the desk in the center of that photo, configuring it one way for software development, other ways for working on still and moving image film projects.
